Marrying My Cowboy Diana Palmer Lindsay McKenna Kate Pearce 9781420148008 Books Reviews

  • Kate Pearce writes characters you want to hang out with. I wanted to be at the bachorlette party it was written with such humor. Vulnerable and sweet, I have loved my journey with this family.
  • It was good to read the three stories in one book. All very very good Authors. If you want just some good easy reading and enjoyable, this is your book.
  • Each story was different but with a wedding at the end. Each was worth reading. The authors each have a unique style.
  • Good read
  • I really wanted to read this book for Kate Pearce's "The Cowboy Lassoes A Bride." However, I really enjoyed reading Diane Palmer's story too.
"The Rancher's Wedding"- I was already laughing after the first couple of pages. Cassie was unknowingly the victim of a prank. She showed up at JL's ranch to protest, but she was in for a surprise. Cassie and JL hit a lot of bumps during their time together, and there were plenty of misunderstandings. Cassie is hiding, and her story is outed at the worst time. I highly recommend reading this book for yourself!
"The Cowboy Lassoes A Bride"- This definitely is not a standalone, and you need to read the other books in the series first! This is the story of Sam, HW, and their wedding! I love the Morgans, and this boook was a great addition! There ended up being so many obstacles that came up before their wedding, including a missing bride!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
  • Kate Pearce's excellent short story, Cowboy Lassoes a Bride is the only one worth reading in this anthology and I'm really sad about that. I have never read anything by Diana Palmer or Lindsay McKenna and I was really looking forward to it. Now I can say I will never look at their titles again. Diana Palmer's Rancher's Wedding was an OK story but it had so many errors in it. It started out with a promising opening scene that was a really different way to start a love story and it just never tugged at my heart. Maybe her other stories are better. Lindsay McKenna's Wind River Wedding was definitely a looking back to the beginning couple. But it was a "telling" story not one experienced with the characters. She told us what happened and I found I wasn't invested in it. When you read a short story, you should hunger to read the series it's set in when you finish the story. I didn't with either of these tales.

Kate Pearce gave us a truly stellar story. We got to share in the lives of the Morgan family we have come to love. We care about the characters and are pulling for the wedding to happen. We even get laugh out loud moments like Sam being arrested for being "loud & obnoxious, and fondling public property"! Some bachelorette party she had! I am delighted Kate gave us another peek at this special family.

A copy for this book was provided to me for an honest and voluntary review.
  • Diana Palmer, Lindsay McKenna, and Kate Pearce share short love stories with cowboys. Diana Palmer introduces us to Cassie Reed and her father who have moved to Benton, Colorado to get away from scandal and shame. She meets JL Denton picketing his ranch for unfair treatment of chickens.

Lindsey McKenna brings us rich New Yorker Maud Campbell meeting Steve Whitcomb, possibly the only cowboy at Princeton at a soup kitchen. They both have grand dreams of success with their degrees and have to see if their years together at Princeton and his family ranch will keep them close or tear them apart.

Kate Pearce shows us how fragile and tender love can be with Samantha Kelly and HW Morgan. We find Sam trying to run away from HW after he just proposed to her. It turns out that the last time Sam got engaged, the marriage was called off and so it has made her afraid to trust their feelings for each other.

Each of these authors bring the cowboy to life on these pages from the outfit including the hat to their country drawl. There are elements of fun and laughter thrown in with mishaps, miscommunication, and good intentions gone awry. There is even a sneak peek of Diana Palmer's novel "The Snow Man" which gives you just a taste that will make you want to read the rest. I enjoyed these stories and now have to find more books these wonderful authors have written so far. I look forward to the next stories they have in store for us.

I voluntarily rad and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.
  • The Cowboy Lassoes a Bride, Kate Pearce. You can never go wrong with Kate’s books, all of the Morgan Ranch series are great books with good stories of family, sacrifice and love. This novella is the wedding of HW and Sam. What can go wrong? Hmmm…everything. But as always, the Morgans pull together so that everything works out. That is what I like about these stories, the family (and friend) element is so strong that it is a joy to read these stories. I laughed out loud at a couple of the scenes.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
